I'm Really Cooking Now

Several people have emailed and asked about the new stove. Fortunately, I did not have to wait two weeks for someone to show up and connect it. As God would have it, I am married to a man who can do just about anything. When Allen returned from his trip to Philadelphia, he brought with him the necessary cables and wires and whatever it is he needed to wire the stove and get it up and running. I love flowers and I do get excited when he brings me roses or truffles but this little Home Depot bag was one of the most exciting things he's brought home in a long time.

I have a few friends who are still waiting for their perfect man to come along. Some say they want a good looking guy. Others say they are looking for money. I think my husband is a great looking fellow and he has always provided for our families needs and desires. But when giving advice to my unmarried friends, the best I can offer is this. Marry a fellow who is good with tools. Nothing will make a man more attractive than the site of him crawling around on the dirty kitchen floor in his shirt and tie connecting a new appliance for you.

  1. God prepared me for having a husband who can not repair ANYTHING. My dad taught me from a young age that I could do anything. My job at Wal-Mart was actually in construction. So when one of those jobs comes along in our house, I am the one holding the screwdriver. :)

Your picture from Easter is great!
