The Circle of Friends Award

I have a number of awards dating as far back to my vacation in October that I have not posted. This should in no way imply that I am not grateful for those blessings, just that there are a few things happening around here. I am going to be putting them up as I have time over the next few days. Thank you ladies for thinking of me and thanks to those of you who give of your time to bless us with laughter, encouragement and words of wisdom through your blogs.

Kat at Heart 2 Heart and Andrea at Arise 2 Write have blessed me with the circle of friends award.

When I think of a circle of friends, I think of the threads that connect us all together. Just as you see pictures of little children from around world holding hands.

And that makes me think of people connected. When I think about blog world, that makes me think of the bloggers I am connected to because I read their blogs. And others I am connected to because they follow my blog. And lots of those are in common. We read the same blogs or a blogger I follow reads another blog whose author reads my blog and on and on. And before you know it we are one big happy family.

You know how my mind wanders. When I got to thinking about that I got to thinking of how my blog world friends fit together into the circle. And it goes something like this.

One night, I was reading a blog when on the side bar there was a preview of another post. And in the picture was a an unforgettable site from my trip to California many years ago. A sign from In and Out Burger. When we were in San Diego back in 2001, In and Out Burger earned its claim to fame as the first fast food restaurant I have ever liked. My husband and sister could not believe it when I, a total vegetarian at the time, asked to go back there for my last meal before leaving the west coast. You clearly must see why I had to click over and check it out. I can not remember whose blog that was on, and I don't know that I ever went back there.

However, while I was there, a comment caught my attention. I clicked over to see who it belonged to and ended up at Carin's blog at Forever in Blue Jeans. I saw her 52 week button and, curious, clicked on it. After reading about it, I thought it was such a great idea, I decided to try it when I had a picture of me. A few weeks later I was working on this post and it became my first 52 week post.

Through there I found Mimi's blog. Which led me to Five Mom's and a Blog. Before I knew it, I had also discovered Jen's blog. In August Jen and I, along with our families made a trip to meet each other at a spot about 4 hours away from both of our home towns. We all became fast friends and I blogged about it. And Jen blogged about it. And the rest is blog world history.

Enough said.

Now I would like to award:

  1. It's certainly a "GOD circle" of friends...only HE could work all this/that out.
    Blessings and hugs,

  2. Thank you! You are right! The men and women I have gotten to know in our blog-world have made my world brighter! Thank you for passing the award on to me! I am thankful to have been able to add you to my circle of friends!!!

Oh... I didnt get a detailed comment from you. Lost in cyber-space??? I will make sure it didnt get lost somewhere for moderation...

  3. Thank you so much for the award! I am blessed to have you in my circle of friends! I read a blogger recently that talked about how someday all us blog friends will get to meet up in heaven and I think that is the coolest thought! Imagine how awesome that will be!
