The Graduating Class...

With Kaitlin's graduation come and gone, it is now time for me to record the precious memories we made during the months of planning and preparation leading up to the big day and of course the wonderful snapshots that filled the day with laughter and tears.  There is much we want to remember so over the course of the next few days I will be making several posts to bring our family and friends who couldn't be here, up to speed.

And yes, that promised video of the ceremony is still coming.  There was a recording snafu which turned into an editing snafu which of course led to a posting on the blog and sending DVD's to those waiting for them snafu.  Brianna has been working diligently on it and promises me it will be done before she graduates  in 2013. Brianna tells me it is finished and she is uploading for blog viewers as I write.  To those of you who are waiting on a hard copy, they went in the mail on Saturday August 22nd.  If you haven't received yours already, your copy will be there shortly.

In the meantime, I can think of no better place to start, than with the invitation.  The girls and I were so excited by these.  It was a Christmas type celebration when they arrived.  We sat aside a day in May while Allen was out of town on business to address them together.  Which involved tea and chocolate, of course.

Try as I might, I could not make a scan of these look good enough to post.  Brianna took some photos for me, which, by no fault of hers, do not really do the invites justice.  Hopefully, you get the spirit of it, though.

  2. Kat,

This is truly a wonderful way to celebrate the accomplishments that Kaitlyn has made during those 12 long years of schooling under the very best teachers she could ever hope for.

I may just use this idea for our Caitlyn as she graduates in June of 2011.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat
