Graduation Favors

The family helped me to mix and hand mold 800 tasty little treats to give as favors at Kaitlin's graduation reception.  I have a friend who makes these most delicious mints for various occasions and they are one of the few sugar treats I find irresistible.  It was an easy decision to serve these up to our guests.
We used several different molds in our school colors for a variety of shapes in each cup.
At first when Aedan wanted to help we were all a little hesistant as we wanted everything to look just right.  Turns out his were the best looking of the bunch.  With so many to make we were glad to have an extra set of hands, too.

We had a  little trouble getting the Bibles to look like Bibles but we figured in the end that Bibles or books, either would apply to home school and in the end they would taste great no matter what they looked like.
After they were packaged and wrapped we tied on tags with our theme verse, Proverbs 3:5-6 ".Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

  1. They're beautiful! What do they taste like?

  2. Kat,
I just had to drop back in to tell you: I met a friend for lunch today whose mom just died. She share that her mothers wishes were to be cremated and her TWO siblings both wanted their the funeral home arranged to split the ashes and mail them to the two siblings. Now, my friend was her caregiver, etc. She said she had peace about it. GOD had blessed her with "time" with her mother and the ability to care for her to the end. She said, if they want her ashes....they can have them. She is with GOD now and that is all I need to know!
