Dream Vacation

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls!"
Matthew 11:28-29

Hello, everyone! My name is Laura. It's so nice to meet all of you! My precious friend Kat, asked if I would stop by a few times and guest post while the WONDERFUL WACHTERS are on vacation. I have to say, when Kat asked me to do this, I was a little leery at first, but when I read her e-mail and she said, "You can write about any topic," I thought, "Ooooooh...........this could be........ DANGEROUS! lol (don't worry, Kat....I'm being good!)

Since the WONDERFUL WACHTERS are on vacation, I thought that would be a great post to start with. Well, thinking about them being able to spend time together relaxing and getting away from it all, also reminded me that in December, my daughter, Goose, and her husband, Tang will be going on an all-inclusive trip to Cancun, Mexico for ten days of total BLISS! (lucky dawgs!) They are soooo excited to finally be going on their "DREAM VACATION!" Goose said, "I can't wait to be lying on the beach, soaking up the warm temperatures and the sunshine while the rest of you are back home FREEZING!" lol

Well, all this talk about vacations got me thinking about where I would like to go on my "dream vacation" and it didn't take me long at all to decide where. One day, I want to go to Jerusalem and walk along the same streets my precious Lord and Savior walked while on this earth. How AMAZING that would be!

IF you could go anywhere..........where would your "dream vacation" be?

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

My goal in life is to passionately love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to have that love for Him shine through in all I do. Come on over and visit me at Goose Hill Farm, Coffee with God, or Goose Hill Academy when you have a chance. If you happen to find anything good, it is not of my doing, but of Christ's. I am a sinner, Fully Relying On God's Grace In Everything!

So come on over, pull up a chair, and stay awhile.............The coffee's on!

  1. Laura,
You definitely picked a wonderful dream location... Jerusalem. How amazing it would be to go there. :-)

I know you are having a blessed, wonderful, happy, relaxing, fun-filled vacation. Thanks for introducing us to some guest bloggers. I look forward to when it's my turn on September 26th. Thanks for that special opportunity.

    With Love & Hugs,

  2. Hi, Carol~

I look forward to reading your post on the 26th!

    Have a great day!

  3. Sweet, Hope~

Thank you for your sweet words. I am honored to be here!

Both of your "dream vacations" sound wonderful! I have never been on a cruise, but that is something Skippy and I would love to do together.....some day. I know quite a few people who have visited England and they just LOVE it there! I I don't think I have met anyone yet who hasn't!

I pray that one day your dream vacation of visiting family across the US will come to fruition!

  4. dear dream vacation,

Thanks for introducing this thought process today. Ultimately we want to go to Ireland. I have a dream of walking out on the wharf where my husbands ancestors and so many others said goodbye to their homeland and came to America. To stand there and imagine it all....

In the mean~time, we are planning our yearly working~vacation to the east coast...New England in October is 'calling us back'...

We are dreaming of Maine, Mass, RI and Vermont
