Old Friends, New Friends

Last week we had the pleasure of seeing our old friends, John and Helen... affectionately called Uncle Griffith and Aunt Helen.  That's the lovely couple on the far right.  Helen's brother and his family were in town for a visit.  That's them in the middle.
Since we have so much in common, home schooling, our conservative Christian beliefs and much more, Helen thought it was long past time we met.  Ted and Lynn have two girls who fall in the same age range as our gang.  Who happen to have a lot in common with our girls.  Their love of dramatics and performing being just one.
Their girls exchanged emails for a number of weeks with my Kk and Nana prior to their visit.  They cooked up some fun for the night in the way of a script.

It was decided that after enjoying happy hour together in our home, the grownups would go out for a quiet dinner, while the younger crowd had some fun of their own.
The hours passed like minutes while we discussed personal testimony, theology and home school life.  But the fun didn't end there.  When we returned home there was a performance by the theater troupe to end our evening.
Which came to a close long before we were ready.  Fortunately, our new friends will be back in the area this October for a wedding we all will be attending.  Don't you just love making new friends?

  3. Looks so fun! My sisters and I read little women, and because we loved it so much, we used to put on plays just like that. We have even filmed a movie and three tv shows. (not really published, but it was really fun, anyway!)

    Have a great day!
