Girls' Day On The Farm

I am joining Alicia in her Friday Photo Flashback.  I love doing this, but I just simply haven't had time to blog about current events... never mind things in the far reaches of my mind.  However, we are still trying to scan in what photos we managed to salvage from the flood in May.  Allen was working on them a few days ago when he came across a stack from Girls Day on the Farm hosted by our church.  I had forgotten all about that incredible day we spent outdoors playing games, doing crafts, taking a hayride and eating dinner around a bon fire.     I am having trouble placing the exact date on this.  Allen thought it was around 2000, which sounds about right because Emma was a baby and I remember sitting up all night making those dresses Kaitlin and Brianna are wearing when Emma Rose was a new born and Allen went away on business to some where or another.  In which case, Kaitlin must have been about 9 and Brianna 5.  Let it suffice to say, I was a lot younger.

Unfortunately, this is not a great quality scan.  Even though the originals were gorgeous, many of the scans are grainy.  I am torn between just tossing them all because I can't really see printing and scrapbooking such poor quality prints but I can't quite bring myself to tossing those memories just yet.

  5. What cute dresses! My favorite part has got to be the flowers. They are/were pockets, right? So cute.
