Cinnamon Apples

My friend  Nara Paula requested I post this recipe on my blog.  So here it is.  Sorry it took so long.  Enjoy and let me know how your men like it.

Core and slice apples.  We leave the skins on but feel free to take them off, if you prefer.  Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.  Toss apples in and sautee until they are beginning to soften but not turning to applesauce.  Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon to taste.  Sometimes we sprinkle in chopped nuts, too.

And there you have it.  Delicious as a side dish, on top of pancakes, waffles or crepes, or as a topping for ice cream.

This is also great with pears.  I like to use slightly under ripe pears so they have a little bite to the texture. We make this a lot in the fall when both pears and apples are plentiful here.

  1. That sounds delicious! I think my entire family would love it!

  2. Sounds wonderful!! I hope you're doing well, miss you!! Amy
