The Difference Between Boys and Girls

Besides the obvious differences in boys and girls... long hair, ribbons, dresses and pink... you see a big difference between sons and daughters when it comes to play time.  Not necessarily WHAT they play with... my boys played dolls with their sisters as readily as my girls play army men with their brothers... the real difference is HOW they play.

For example, the big toys in our house right now are the Disney Cars.  When the new movie was released in June, a trip was made to the attic to get the box with Lightening, Mater and all the gang.  Day in and day out we hear the click and clack of little wheels on the walls, the furniture and across the floors.

And here's the thing.  When the boys play cars you hear things like, "Let's race!  My car won.  Your car wrecked.  Crash! Bang! Boom!"

When Elisabeth plays cars it sounds like this.

Lightening: "Hi, I'm Lightening."

Sally: "Hi, I'm Miss Sally."

Lightening: "Let's get married."
