30 Days About Me-Day 1-Favorite Song

I saw this on my friend, Mikki's blog over at The Not So Perfect Housewife.  It sounded like fun so I thought, this being the first day and all, I would jump in.  I have no idea if I will stick with 30 days, but for today, anyway, here it goes.

The question for today is... my favorite song.  What a terrible thing to start with!  I couldn't nail down my favorite song... I love so many.  So the girls are here swimming in the pool and I said, "What's my favorite song?"  And Brianna said, "You like so many."  And Kaitlin said, "That's like torture for you!"

At least we all three agree.  So, I thought what song is on my mind a lot lately.  And I nailed it down to two.  So even though there are a million more songs I would also call my favorite, at this point and time I am going to say my favorites are "Ode to Joy" which I sing to Carmella all the time.  And "Blessings" by Laura Story.  My friend recently introduced me to this song and you can hear every one in our house walking around singing it these days.

I had trouble finding a traditional version of Joyful, Joyful on You Tube that I liked.  This is a more modern rendition that we like.

  3. I wish I had speakers here at work to listen to these songs. I have a feeling they are religious which is why I haven't heard of them (I mean I played Ode to Joy in band but I didn't even know it had words).

  5. Great choices of songs.. I love them both.
I didn't think of putting more than one up..
I just about love anything from Casting Crowns..

    So glad you joined in.

I was able to sit down and do a week of these in on sitting and just pre-posted them. It was pretty simple.

    Have a blessed week.

  6. Great selection of songs. I think we've all struggled with choosing one. I hope you stick with it. I look forward to learning more about you.
