Day 6-My Most Treasured Item

Again, I am joining Toni in her 30 Days About Me... challenge.

My most treasured item?  Besides my Bible and my family?  Photographs.  My photographs are the only thing in this world that I would find it difficult to part with.

Which, is why it was so devastating last year when our basement flooded and a lifetime of photographs were in the midst of it.  The look on my families faces when we discovered what had happened showed they knew it, too.  I couldn't even help sort through the mess because of my severe allergy to mold and mildew. It was very frustrating to sit back and do nothing.

However, my hubby and kids gave many hours to sorting and drying and scanning and trying to save as many as possible.

Every cloud does have a silver lining.  Seeing all those old photos was a fun walk down memory lane for all of us.

Again, I am joining Toni in her 30 Days About Me... challenge.

  1. I am still working on this post for the twins as it is appearing to be harder than Ithought it would be! I have to agree with yiu personally, besides my family, I think my photographs would be next as Incould never replace a good portion of them! Need to begin scanning and online storage again!

  2. My dad gave me all of his old pictures so that I can scan them and save them. Since things have gone digital, it's much easier to save them, but the old ones are irreplaceable. I'm sorry you lost yours.
