Let The Memories Continue

What could be more magical than the first morning you walk down Main Street USA? Except of course, the Magic Kingdom at night.

To prevent total exhaustion and burn out we typically try not to spend any full day at the Disney parks.  We like to go in the morning and leave by mid afternoon or go later in the day and stay until closing.  Then we take the next day off for swimming.  On days when  the parks are open later we go in the morning then come home for lunch and naps and return after dinner.  With the Christmas party in full swing now, there were not many nights when you can see the parade and fireworks so we took advantage of an evening when all the nighttime events were happening.
Waiting for the parade to start.
I am so glad they brought this one back.  We have always liked this one and now with the Share a Dream Come True Parade being made over it is now our favorite.
Carmella was so tired after so many naps disturbed.  She had been dozing on Pa's shoulder but once the parade started she was completed fixed on the lights and music coming from the floats.  In between floats when they had other acts performing she would put her head down and start to doze off again.  But as soon as the next float came near, up popped her head again.
After the parade we found a great spot to watch Wishes.  As far as Elisabeth was concerned that was THE reason for coming to Disney World.  The girls told her Tinkerbell would start the fireworks over the castle and she was so excited she could hardly sit still.  Yes, I did cry when Tinkerbell came flying out and Elisabeth was bouncing up and down with joy.
Love this fireworks show... what's not to love?
Winnie loved It's a Small World when we took her for a ride earlier in the day so when we woke her up from her nap we promised we would take her again.  Even though, she was sleepy, look how wide open her eyes are!
A minute for a photograph with my number three princess.  Boy this brings back memories of the first time Emma Rose saw the castle and met Cinderella.  Why do they have to grow up so blasted fast????
And the whole gang.  Because I love coming here with them.
What better way to spend the few minutes before the park closes than a spin on Buzz Lightyear?
At Disney World you never know what might be around the next corner.  As we were waiting for the ferry the kids were delighted by the parade across the dark water.
Ellie and I were walking out of the park together and singing the Christmas songs and talking about what an exciting day it had been, when we stopped for a minute to turn around and get another look at the castle.  People rushed for the gates pushing and shoving and kids whining and parents yelling at them.  I picked my girl up and she hugged me and I hugged her and I knew I would remember that minute for the rest of my life.
As we made our way to the gate, I had my tired little girl climb in the buggy and she was asleep before we made it to the exit.  The next morning we asked her if she remembered us brushing her teeth and tucking her in bed.  No, she didn't.  Did you remember the ferry boat ride.  No, she didn't.  Did she remember the tram?  The water parade?  No.  No.  No.
The last thing she could tell us about was looking at the castle with Mama. What a great moment to end our magical day.

  2. I love your pictures. We haven't been to Disney. We walked up to the gates to Disneyland when we were in California, but we didn't go in. I'm not sure if I regret it or not. Hubs was working and the girls and I had to pick him up, so we walked around Downtown Disney until he was ready. It was still enjoyable. And our vacation was packed with so many other adventures that we just didn't feel that Disney was necessary at the time. :)

But a Disney vacation, on the other hand, is a whole other story! Looks like you are making so many wonderful memories!
