Tabitha's Travels

Our family has once again pulled out Tabitha's Travels by Arnold Ytreeide to read through Advent.  This adventure intertwines history, Biblical truths and lots of excitement to keep the family learning and focused on what the season is about.  The thing that most impressed me about his writing is how much I learned about Jewish life in Bible times.

At the end of each day's reading passage you will find a short family devotion to tie in what has happened with some character building lesson or to help you grow in your relationship with Christ and others.

This book is the third in a series but they need not be read in order.  Even though there is a different main character in each book, all the characters are tied together by Jotham, the hero from the first story.

This, and all the books by Arnold Ytreeide, are available on  If you love what you read, be sure to check out his Easter devotional Amon's Adventure.

  1. We are reading Jotham's Journey again this year! It's exciting, because some of the kids don't remember it. =) We hope to get the other books someday...
