Just One More Night

I know I am so LAME to not have gotten the link up last night for the third night of the VBC 30th Anniversary Conference.   Hopefully, you thought to click over to the link from the day before to join us.  I have enjoyed reading emails from those of you who are taking part in the conference via live streaming.

We have been incredibly blessed by this whole week.  Monday evening we had the honor of sharing a few minutes one on one with Dr. and Mrs. Hudson when they joined us for dinner.  I must admit, while we did have a ton of questions we wanted to pick their brain on, we ended up discussing food most of the time.  We share a love for Mexican and Italian cooking and especially, Chili Rellenos.  I look forward to trying out the recipe Sister Susie shared with me.  Unfortunately, we only had a little over an hour together since we had to get to the church for the service.

Which was incredible.  Dr. Hudson preached from Luke 5:1-3.  His analogy to Peter's boat and the Christian walk was beautiful and really spoke to my heart.

Tuesday evening he spoke from Luke 5:1-16 about the Demands of a Disciple.

Tonight is, sadly, the last night.  We are all sitting here saying how sorry we are to see them  go and how fast these last four days have gone.  What a blessing to have good men who are still willing to preach the word of God plainly and simply.

Our family will have the opportunity to speak on what this church has meant to us.  We will end the conference with an ice cream social to celebrate the founding of our church on March 7, 1982.

Join us via live stream by following the link and instructions below.  But you'll have to get your own ice cream.
