Snowy Sunday

We had our first snow of the season on Sunday.
The kids knew it was in the forecast and were disappointed when they woke up and the ground was still brown.
The girls teased what a good thing it is they did the decals or you wouldn't be able to even find Filmore in the snow.
This is the first time we've ever been without a snow worthy vehicle and Allen was really debating what to do.  We hated to miss the first time in weeks when all the kids were well enough that we could attend worship.  We finally made up our minds to try for church when ice started coming from the sky.  So the boys took off their church suits and put on their snow suits.
I love the wonder of a child's eyes in the snow
And what could be more special than a child's very first snow fall?  Except maybe if that child were Henry.
 Christmas lights...
Snow balls...
We had a blast trying out a new sledding hill.  We doubled our old run by leveling out some of the area where the trees were cut down last fall.  With the ice snow combination we were able to go air born in some spots.
This boy just makes me smile
Hoping for a long snowy winter and many more days with my snow angels.
