The last few months our family has claimed the promise of Psalm 51:12 "Restore unto me the joy of they salvation; uphold me with thy free spirit."

This season we celebrate renewal has also marked the embarking of so much new for our family, not the least being a new church. After twenty years with our church family it was very difficult to make the decision to join a church planting team in our city. However, we had no doubt this was exactly God's will for our family and we have never been sorry when we turn our hearts and feet to the path where the Lord has led.
While our transition did not play out the way we planned or would have liked, He knew what was best for us and as He has directed things for His good we have been abundantly blessed by His goodness and grace and mercy.
And we could not possibly be any happier than exactly where we are right now worshiping and studying and serving this city. I get so excited when I see our signs around town.
We were all very much looking forward to the very first Sunday morning worship as a church and it seemed the absolute most fitting day that it should be on Easter Sunday. Looking here and thinking how on earth can my men be so VERY GROWN UP??? But aren't they the most handsome???
The weather was perfect, much as I imagine it was when the Lord emerged from the grave some 2000 years ago. Sunshine and warm and fresh with the grass greening, the cherry blossoms in full bloom and yellow daffodils all over the yard. It set the stage for a most beautiful time of worship, communion and the message on grace. It was everything Resurrection Sunday should be about. We all felt a new sense of energy as we left service. Except Addison who has been a bit under the weather and was completely tuckered out by all the excitement.
In the last few months we have been amazed at the way God has multiplied our numbers and the opportunities He has already provided to minister to those around us.  We look forward to the next steps of our journey and this new season seeing what the Lord will do with this team He has gathered.

"Praising God, and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."  Acts 2:47
